Synopsis :
MARK PIETH is 60 years old today. This father of two young girls from a family of “nomads” Farmers, who eventually settled in the Grisons. His father, however, attracted by the pharmaceutical industry has left his village to live and work in Basel, where Mark Pieth was born.
This Professor of criminal law and criminology at the University of Basel, was one of three members of the “Volcker” commission to shed light on suspicion of corruption around the management of the UN “Oil-against food” in Iraq.
Moreover, this discreet and quiet man, with a frank and direct gaze, does not mince his words, in terms of corruption, he knows whereof he speaks.
